If we’ve never met, here’s a bit of my backstory …
I’m a native San Antonian and have worked in the non-profit field for over 15 years, specializing in public relations, social media, and community engagement efforts. I have written for publications such as the San Antonio Current, the San Antonio Express-News, Conexion, and San Antonio Magazine. I earned my bachelor’s degree in communication arts (focusing on journalism) from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). In 2019, I returned to OLLU to earn a master’s degree in non-profit management. I’m also a National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC) 2017 Fellow. I served as a board member (2020-22) and board president (2022) of the Friends of Spare Parts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in San Antonio, Texas, the organization advances reuse and sustainability through creativity and the arts. Recently, I’ve worked with Opt In Experts specializing in editing and research efforts. If you want to learn more about my professional work, I invite you to view my resume.
These are just a few works of art and courses that have shaped who I am as a creative:
